Heat Pump Hotwater Systems are the new kid on the block, with the latest technology they are by far the most efficient way to heat your house hold water. While they do come with a higher price tag initially, they are more cost effective year to year as they are on average 75% more energy saving than any other hot water system on the market. By maintaining the up keep on a Hot Water System you can extend the life of the system greatly through servicing.
Things to consider:
-Every 3yrs replacing the PTR valve that releases the pressure when needed to stop the cylinder from un wanted stress.
-Fixing any leaking fittings before they rust the outside and other fittings on the hot water system.
-Changing the anode inside the tank every 4-5yrs to stop the tank itself being attacked by rust causing a build up of minerals
-keeping the area around the hotwater unit free from debris and plants to create a clean environment for the system to operate correctly.
